On his debut album, Florida composer/film maker/comics artist Loren Boyer presents nine homemade chunks of low-fi drift and vaguely menacing anguish. Using amplified toys, tapes, bizarre atmospheres, some recognizable guitar and electronic haze, Boyer has created an introspective, claustrophobic album of melancholy song-like forms that veer sharply from delicate hum to tape-filth malevolence.
